​Dawn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Bachelor’s Degree from the College of Staten Island with a major in Social Work as well as a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Rutgers University. She is a Certified Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional and a Certified Adoption Competency therapist. She also received specialized training as a Level II NILD Educational Therapist which equipped her to serve those with dyslexia and other learning challenges. Dawn specializes in working with adolescents and children with depression, anxiety, Autism, ADHD, as well as complex trauma. Utilizing narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, strengths perspective, play therapy, mindfulness, as well as therapeutic games.  She has over 15 years experience working in a variety of settings and has provided therapy to children and families at Head Start, worked with adolescents at Job Corp, facilitated social skills groups for visually impaired adults, as well as worked in a private high school setting as a school counselor for adolescents on the Autism spectrum. She grew fond of the clients that she served and learned a great deal from them about compassion and the will to overcome obstacles in life. She also possesses the ability to support adolescents as she has also had some challenging times in her own youth.

Dawn enjoys working with children and their families as this is a passion for her. Being a mom of two children, she understands the joys and challenges that come with raising children in various stages of development.

Her goal is to walk alongside her clients and create a safe environment for them to be able to openly express their thoughts and feelings in a therapeutic environment.
