How do I schedule an appointment?

Appointments are requested through our secure Client Portal. Your information goes directly into our practice management system rather than through this website, which keeps it protected. Once we receive your request, we’ll contact you to talk about scheduling.

What services do you offer?

We provide testing and assessments; individual counseling; premarital counseling; marital and relationship counseling; therapy for children, adolescents and adults; substance abuse evaluations; telehealth (video visits) and in-person sessions.

How much does therapy cost, and do you take insurance?

A typical 55-minute session costs $120–$150, and a sliding scale may be available according to need. We are in-network with Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare and others. Out-of-network clients can pay directly and seek reimbursement from their insurer.

We accept cash, credit and debit cards, FSA and HSA. We also accept Step Up for Students (FES-UA) scholarship funding for therapy and evaluations.

What are some common issues that counselors can help with?

Relationship challenges, ADHD, anxiety, bullying, depression, grief and loss, pre- and post-natal mental health, LGBTQ+ concerns, parenting challenges, PTSD, sexual abuse and trauma, and faith-based challenges.

Who are your counselors?

All of our counselors hold master’s degrees. Our licensed clinicians are credentialed in Florida as LMHC, LMFT or LCSW, and we also work with registered interns under supervision. Our team uses evidence-based methods.

How do I know if I need counseling?

Counseling may help if you feel sad or worried most days; are having trouble at school, work or home; are struggling with family, relationships or friendships; are facing big life changes; or just want to learn new skills to feel stronger.

How do you keep my information private?

We follow HIPAA rules and Florida laws to protect your privacy. All records are stored securely, and what you share stays between you and your counselor unless you give written permission, or the law requires otherwise.

What happens during my first visit?

At your first visit, your counselor will orient you to the counseling process. You’ll discuss your current concerns and challenges, set goals together, and arrange a date for future sessions.
